Influence of Temperature on Oil Pressure Monitoring in Transformer Bushing Diagnosis

Abstract

Oil pressure is one of the most important parameters for the condition monitoring and fault warning of transformer bushing. However, the influence law of temperature on oil pressure variation in transformer bushing is not clear, which hinders the development of bushing diagnosis based on oil pressure. To solve this problem, the temperature-pressure field simulation of transformer bushing was studied and the corresponding experimental test data were analyzed in depth in this paper. On the basis of obtaining the mechanism of oil pressure change, the hysteresis of oil pressure to temperature changes is confirmed, and the lag time obtained from the test is about 0.5 h. Finally, temperature calibration techniques were proposed to reduce the influence of temperature on oil pressure monitoring, which can improve the accuracy of transformer bushing condition diagnosis.
