Abstract
Technologies of photovoltaics is currently underrated in Algeria. Energy potential maps can help the development of the use of photovoltaic energy. Using accurate models and database of solar radiation for calculating the electricity produced by a photovoltaic system, energy production was estimated in several sites in Algeria and maps of solar and photovoltaic potential was drawn. In addition, correlations were developed to calculate the potential, solar and photovoltaic, and the corresponding optimum tilt angle maximizing it.
