Abstract

Damage to the intestine occurs frequently as a result of abdominal or pelvic radiation treatment, and chronic radiation enteritis is a cause of significant morbidity and mortality. This review focuses on advances in knowledge which may be applied to the treatment and prevention of radiation enteritis.
