Ocorrência de Phytophthora ramorum em Portugal sobre Viburnum spp Occurrence of Phytophthora ramorum in Portugal on Viburnum spp

O patogéneo Phytophthora ramorum Werres, De Cock & Man in’t Veld sp. nov. consta da Lista de Alerta OEPP (EPPO, 2002) e está sujeito a medidas regulamentares de emergência, estabelecidas pelas Decisões da Comissão Europeia: n os 2002/757/CE, 2004/426/CE e 2007/201/CE. Portugal, para dar cumprimento a estas medidas, pôs em execução um programa nacional de prospecção deste organismo prejudicial. No âmbito desse programa, em Novembro de 2006 e pela primeira vez no nosso país, foi detectada e identificada P. ramorum, em Viburnum spp. A identificação foi feita com base nas características culturais e morfológicas dos isolados. A patogenicidade deste organismo foi comprovada em folhas destacadas de Viburnum sp. The pathogen Phytophthora ramorum Werres, De Cock & Man in’t Veld sp. nov. is part of the EPPO Alert List (EPPO, 2002) and is subject to emergency regulation measures, established by the decisions no. 2002/757/ CE, 2004/426/CE and 2007/201/CE of the European Commission. To comply with these decisions, Portugal has put in execution a national program to survey this harmful organism. As part of this program, in November 2006 and for the first time in Portugal, P. ramorum was detected and identified on Viburnum spp. The identification was made using the morphological and cultural characteristics of the isolates. The pathogenicity of this organism was verified on detached leafs of Viburnum sp.
