Abstract

To evaluate the outcome of resectoscopic endometrial polypectomy and submucosal myomectomy and efficacy ofresectoscopic operation. Study group were 18 patients, who diagnosed submucosal myoma or endometrial polyp during from May 2008 to December 2009 at Jeju national university hospital. Clinical characteristics, laboratory dala, preoperative and postoperative result were retrospectively analyzed. Among the 18 patients with abnormal uterine bleeding, 11(61%) had endometrial polyp and 7(39%) had submucosal myoma. Mean operation time was 17.7 minutes and average duration of hospitalization was 3 days. Average deficit of Hb was 1.2g/dL. No operative or postoperative complication occurred. Conclusion: Resectoscopic operation is useful and safe method to diagnose and treat submucosal myoma and endometrial polyp.
