In addition to Neosharpia, the genus Eumycterus Schoenh. is placed in the Neosparpiini. E. albosquamulatus Boh. is recorded for the first time from Middle Asia, Iran, and Ethiopia. Baris alboguttata Bris. is designated as type species of Elasmobaris Reitt.
