Abstract

This study sought to try to answer a main question, which is: What is the nature of media coverage of genocide and ethnic cleansing, and the research objectives contained therein have been determined, and research questions covering the field of study have been developed, which include a question about genocide as a concept and about ethnic cleansing, in addition to a question On how the media dealt with issues related to genocide and ethnic cleansing in the world, and the descriptive analytical approach was used by reviewing and analyzing studies and articles related to the topic of research, and the study reached a number of results that showed that the media had a major role in concealing facts and spreading misinformation regarding With the crimes of genocide and ethnic cleansing, the study also showed that the media has a major role in detecting inhuman crimes, including genocide, where the study showed that the media is only a tool of power that can be used in accordance with its declared and hidden goals, and at the end of the study was developed Recommendations related to the topic of the research.
