Abstract

Necrotizing fasciitis is a life-threatening rapidly progressing bacterial infection associated with necrotic changes of the superficial fascia, subcutaneous tissue, and the deep fascia. It is a surgical emergency requiring a high suspicion, early diagnosis, and early treatment.
