Legal regulation of land reclamation: main problems and development prospects

Abstract
The article discusses the problems associated with land reclamation. The main components of land reclamation are given, the objectives of land reclamation are considered. The procedure for land reclamation is considered from the point of view of the need to carry out all procedures provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation. Recultivation of land plots is both a preventive measure and measures for the restoration of land resources. Land reclamation does not exclude reimbursement of costs associated with environmental damage. The article draws conclusions about the need to improve legislation regarding the procedure for recultivation of land plots, as well as making appropriate changes regarding the recognition of the recultivation successfully completed.
