The present paper provides comprehensive description of various regimes\ninvolved in the two-fluid model of the resistive tearing instability. These\ninclude two novel regimes of this instability, which correspond to the\nlong-wave modes that can develop in a highly-elongated current sheet. This\nissue is relevant to the study of fast magnetic reconnection and magnetic\nturbulence in magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) objects with a large value of the\nLundquist number.\n
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
