Abstract

A memorandum is published on the results of a survey of the Ulyanovsk Pedagogical Institute activity after the first academic year (1932-1933). The original document is stored in the State Archive of the Recent History of the Ulyanovsk Region. The published material reflects the institute's success in the educational process management and recruiting students. It also notes the difficulties and problems that educational institutions of this level faced in general at their first stage of development.
