Monetary policy, which is carried out by national banks, has a great impact on the state of the monetary sphere of the country and on the state and development of the national economy. This article analyzes the dynamics of inflation in Russia. The article considers the targeting of the inflation rate as the main instrument of the monetary policy of national banks, and also provides the conditions for targeting inflation. In addition, the paper provides monetary policy regimes.
