Abstract

The article presents the relationship of sustainable development based on a combination of social and environmental aspects of society with the solution of economic problems that objectively arise due to the growing negative impact on the biosphere. The state of solving the tasks necessary to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals formulated by the UN for the period up to 2020 in the Russian Federation is analyzed. The directions of transition to sustainable human development are shown based on the use of the concept of circular economy and the introduction of a model of its implementation, taking into account the peculiarities of the organization of the socio-ecological and economic system in each country. The most relevant areas of research on the problems of sustainable development and the transition to a circular economy are formulated.
