Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of endodontic therapy with Ca(OH)₂ in cases with chronic apical periodontitis by measuring the microbial viability from root canal space in various phases of endodontic therapy. The microbiological calculations that have been presented have called forth an establishment that Ca(OH)₂ has excellent antimicrobial activity, provided its association with root canals is long-standing.
