Abstract

The proportion of renewable energy has increased, and subsequent development depends on energy storage. The peak-to-valley power generation volume of renewable energy power generation varies greatly and is difficult to control. As the proportion of wind and solar power generation increases, the impact on the power grid will become greater, and the power grid has higher requirements in terms of transmission, distribution and regulation. The global penetration rate of renewable energy power generation is increasing, and the development of renewable energy has created a demand for energy storage. This paper compares the advantages and disadvantages of commonly used energy storage technologies, and focuses on the development path and latest progress of lithium-ion battery energy storage technologies. Finally, the article analyzes the application scenarios of energy storage in detail.
