Abstract
Endometrial cancer is the most commonly diagnosed gynecologic cancer. This cancer is the most common form of uterine cancer. There are two types of uterine cancers: endometrial cancer (common) and uterine sarcoma (rare). This chapter offers a comprehensive overview of endometrial cancer in humans, from its causes, stages, symptoms, and diagnosis to the variety of treatment options available today. Diagnosis of endometrial cancer includes a review of medical history and a general physical exam. All US FDA-approved drugs are considered and information about their generic and brand names, clinical uses, and mechanisms of action is presented. The chapter also provides concise information on cancer risk factors and possible preventions.
