Abstract

Abstract In connection with catalysis of hydrolysis of esters by metalloenzymes, the title ester, which is provided with a good leaving group, is hydrolyzed over the pH range 5.19‐10.46 at 20‐30°C. Cu(II) promoted base hydrolysis of the ester is more than 105 times faster than that of the protonated ester.
