Abstract

A study of hiatus hernia over the last ten years at the Massachusetts General Hospital shows that the incidence of this hernia is much higher than is generally supposed and that hæmorrhage may be a symptom. The authors review the literature concerning hiatus hernia with especial reference to bleeding.
