Abstract A new distribution map is provided for Phenacoccus manihoti Matile-Ferrero [Hemiptera: Pseudococcidae] Cassava mealybug. Attacks cassava (Manihot esculenta) and other species of Manihot, causing serious damage. Information is given on the geographical distribution in SOUTH AMERICA, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, AFRICA, Angola, Benin, Burundi, Congo, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Senegal, Sudan, Togo, Uganda, Zaire, Zambia.
