Based on examination of the stroma 181 papillary thyroid icrocarcinomas and detection the relationship with the stage of the disease using the NM system, it was discovered that desmoplasia and stroma maturity are important prognostic criteria. Lack desmoplasia, mature and mature mixed stroma associated with stage I, severe desmoplasia and immature type of stroma — with stage III, the mixed immature type — with stage IV disease.
