Abstract
SUMMARYTwo per cent of the zoospores of an isolate of Phytophthora palmivora were quadriflagellated. Ninety per cent of the quadriflagellated zoospores were binucleate. Electron micrographs of the quadriflagellated zoospores revealed 2 tinsel flagella and 2 whiplash flagella on each. The typical fibrillar structure of the flagella was also noted in some electron microscope preparations fixed with osmic acid.
