Abstract
The cabbageworm occurs in temperate regions around the world, and is easily confused with other common cabbage white butterflies. In most temperate areas, it is a serious pest if insecticides are not used to protect cabbage. In North America, it is known as the imported cabbageworm because it is an invader; in Europe it is known as the small white cabbage butterfly.
