Abstract

Providing quality hospital care to older persons living with dementia is an international challenge.Central to the challenge is determining how to successfully translate, and then achieve sustainability of best dementia-care practice within the built environment of in-patient units.This presentation utilizes a dementia-friendly acute care framework to illustrate the complexity of achieving a senior friendly hospital in a Canadian context.
