Abstract

written and copiously illustrated by Eric Bywaters, is, in fact, my favourite, but every chapter is the work of an acknowledged expert in the field and all provide good 'state of the art* reviews.Usually a work of this type is significantly less up-to-date than current journal articles, but the production time for this book must have been commendably short as six of the chapters quote 1979, and two 1980, references.Overall, this is an excellent book encompassing a large amount of information in an attractive, readable fashion.
