Abstract

In wastewater applications, the buildup of fibrous solids on mixing impellers is known as ‘ragging,’ and can lead to agitator shut downs and failures if left unresolved. SPX Flow looked at this issue and developed the LIGHTNIN Clean-Edge Impeller, designed to prevent the buildup of ragging material on impeller blades.
