Abstract

In this paper, a W-band two-way power divider/combiner using E-plane 3dB branch waveguide coupler and waveguide-finline transition is proposed. This divider/combiner has properties of good coupling, good return loss and low insertion loss. The 3D EM simulation results show that, from 91GHz to 97GHz, the insertion loss is less than 0.2dB, the return loss is better than 20dB. The actual measurement results show that the return loss of the input is better than 14.5dB and the insertion loss is less than 2.3dB. Integrated with MMIC power amplifiers, the divider/combiner can be used in power combing system to obtain solid-state high power with a high efficiency in W-band.
