Abstract

Microsoft SQL Server originated with a partnership with Sybase, writing SQL Server for OS/2. Later, Microsoft and Sybase parted ways, and Microsoft focused on SQL Server for the Windows platform. The most well-known versions started with SQL Server 6.5 in 1996, followed by 7.0 in 1999. In 2000, Microsoft released SQL Server 2000, another evolutionary step in moving SQL Server into the enterprise RDBMS arena. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
