Abstract

Mandibular canine is the third tooth from the midline. It has close resemblance to the maxillary canine, with variations. The crown length is more than that of the maxillary canine, but the total length of the tooth is same as that of the maxillary canine. The labial bulk exhibited by maxillary canine is not seen in this tooth. Lingual surface is smooth with less well-developed. Cingulum which placed either in centre or slightly distally placed. The cuspal portion is not well developed, so the cusp appears pointed and the cuspal ridges are thin. The root appears bent distally at the cervical portion.
