Abstract
A reservoir simulation model based on geostatistical reservoir description was constructed for the 24Z Reservoir to evaluate competing reservoir management strategies. The geostatistical approach used the technique of collocated cokriging to assign reservoir properties to areas of the reservoir where sparse data exist. The fluid flow model scaled up from the geostatistical model was history matched with a significant reduction in the total number of simulation runs.
