Abstract
This chapter provides a review of two econometric techniques that have been employed in empirical studies of technology adoption. The first, probit and logit models, were widely used during the 1980&s;s, while the second, duration analysis, has only recently been applied to the analysis o f adoption and diffusion o f innovation. The main objective here is to depict the econometric basis o f the empirical analysis reported in chapter 8.
