Abstract

The relativistic transport equation for a one-particle distribution function is discussed. Transverse and longitudinal oscillations of a low-density plasma in the absence of external fields is considered by neglecting the collisions. Relativistic dispersion relations are derived and compared with non-relativistic theory.
