Abstract

Leader is a two-row spring feed barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) cultivar developed by the Eastern Canada Barley Breeding Group, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. It has high grain yield, high straw yield, high test weight, high seed weight, good resistance to lodging, and moderate resistance to deoxynivalenol accumulation. Leader performs well across Eastern Canada.Key words: Barley, Hordeum vulgare L., cultivar description, test weight, seed weight, deoxynivalenol
