Abstract

Abstract Frost is ice formed by the condensation of atmospheric water vapor on a surface. When low temperatures are present in a certain region, the potential for frost damage to plant life exists in that region. Frost damage can injure plants permanently or slow plant development. Several factors dictate the extent and severity of frost damage to plants in any given region.
