Abstract
Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a chronic inflammatory skin condition characterised by painful, deep-seated, inflamed lesions in the apocrine-gland-bearing areas of the body. Sequelae include significant pain, scarring, and psychological distress. Current medical and surgical therapies are discussed.
