Abstract
The issue of structural changes of forging hydraulic press with three working cylinders in order to reduce energy costs when performing of free forging operations is considered. Based on the mathematical modeling of the forging hydraulic press operation, its design is improved and optimization parameters are determined, allowing for 30 % reduction in energy costs during the upsetting operation.
