Abstract

In recent times, smart home automation has become very popular. The research paper is based on creating an Arduino-based smart system for home security. A Smart system for home is needed to provide better security and smart control over home appliances. As life on earth is becoming more dependent on the internet, home automation has become a hot topic and attracted considerable attraction. The objective of this paper is to deliver a extremely scalable also it was multifunctional home automation system at low cost. The advancement in technology has gifted us with cheap micro-controllers like Arduino that is capable of integrating various sensors and appliances which is useful in the implementation process of home automation. Motion Detection Sensor (PIR), Gas Sensor (MQ6), Wooden Sensor (ASR-38B) and Temperature Sensor (DHT11) are used in designing of the system. The information collected by sensors can be accessed by the user regardless of their location over the internet. Results after testing show that the system is working properly.
