Abstract

This paper mainly analyzes the performance of wireless communication system over Nakagami-m fading channel using different diversity combining techniques. Among them, this paper adopts the following two principal types of combining techniques: Maximum Ratio Combining (MRC) and Equal-gain Combining (EGC). Variable-controlling approach is used to control the different parameters (such as the number of diversity branches, Nakagami-m fading parameter), and by analyzing the bit error rate (BER) of the system, the influence of each parameter over the fading channel and diversity combining techniques on the system performance is analyzed.
