Abstract

Modern approaches to surgical treatment of retinal detachment against the background of peripheral retinoschisis do not always give the desired result. Purpose. The purpose of the presented clinical case is to evaluate the effectiveness of the use of autologous conditioned plasma (AСP) in the treatment of regmatogenic retinal detachment against the background of peripheral retinoschisis. Material and methods. In the ophthalmological department of the Northwestern State Medical University named after I.I. Mechnikov, a patient P., born in 1959, was under observation with a diagnosis of regmatogenic retinal detachment in case of peripheral retinoschisis. The patient underwent microinvasive vitrectomy with the introduction of ACP into the intraretinal space, endolaser retinopexy, endotamponade of PFOC with replacement on silicone oil. Results. In the postoperative period, there was a complete fit of the retina throughout. Conclusions. The first experiment gave an excellent result, which opens new prospects for patients with regmatogenic retinal detachment in case of retinoschisis. However, further research in this direction is required. Keywords: retinal detachment, retinoschisis, peripheral retinoschisis, ACP.
