This article examines the relationship between the motivation for achieving success and the localization of behavioral control in adolescence. The aim of the study is to determine the characteristics of the locus of control and achievement motivation in adolescence. Locus of control is considered as a psychological factor of behavioral manifestation that characterizes a particular type of personality in terms of its influence on the social circumstances of reality. To determine the characteristics of the locus of control and achievement motivation in adolescence, a comparative analysis of motivation for achieving success among senior schoolchildren and students of a professional college, as well as the specifics of the ichlocus of control. The article contains an analysis of modern theoretical provisions on the localization of control and achievement motivation. The results of an empirical study of the relationship between the level of achievement motivation and the locus of control in adolescence are presented, on the basis of which the features of the achievement motivation and the localization of behavioral control in senior and college students are interpreted.
