Reduced scattering and absorption coefficients of piglet head were determined in-vivo by analyzing the observed temporal response based on the photon diffusion theory. The values of the transport scattering and absorption coefficients were 1.31 and 0.0126 [mm-1], respectively at the wavelength of 760nm in normoxic condition. When hypoxia was induced by changing the inspired O2 concentration(10.7[%]), the absorption coefficient rose to 0.0152[mm-1], while the scattaring coefficient was constant. It was suggested that in-vivo measurement of the optical parameters in piglet head were possible based on the photon diffusion theory.
