Abstract
A three-dimensional microstrip meander-line slow-wave structure is proposed to reduce the risk of charge accumulation in a sheet beam traveling wave tube. And compared with the traditional planar meander-lline slow-wave structure, the interaction impedance of the 3-D microstrip meander-line SWS has been greatly improved. With the same structure parameters, taking 90GHZ as an example, the output power of the 3-D microstrip meander-line traveling wave tube (TWT) is about 10W higher than the traditional one, and the gain is about 2-dB higher.
