Abstract
The severe flood events of recent years have wreaked havoc across many parts of the UK, involving many agencies and causing misery to thousands of householders and businesses. This paper questions whether we are doing enough to minimise flood risk and if we need to re-examine our whole approach to flood management, with particular emphasis on the insurance perspective.
