Abstract

The article discusses the main regularities of the formation of engineering-geological features of hydrothermal-metasomatic rocks formed inside and on the surface of modern hydrothermal systems in areas of active volcanism due to the processing of the initial rocks of volcanic genesis by thermal waters. The conditions and successive stages of formation of various types of hydrothermal-metasomatic rocks and their corresponding trends in changing physical and mechanical properties are analyzed.
