Abstract

During the last few years, novel findings have suggested that activation of the complement system, in particular the alternative complement system, has a significant role in ANCA associated vasculitis pathogenesis. We investigated whether low serum C3 levels can cross sectionally estimate severe antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA)-associated vasculitis (AAV) and estimate the renal servival.
