Abstract
Environmental activism, or environmentalism, is a social-environmental a movement that spread in the twentieth century in European countries, aiming to strengthen environmental protection measures. Environmental activism today plays an important role in overcoming misunderstandings between scientists, politicians, the media, and the public on environmental issues.
