Abstract

The dawn of containerization technology, which helped in wrapping up several microservices together revolutionised the information technology world. The advantages obtained by usage of microservices caused the shift from traditional monolithic to microservices architecture. Containerisation technologies like Docker, Kubernetes provided the foundation for these microservices architecture to work in collaboration and develop an application which gains high in-terms of performance and efficiency. The paper proposes the model for of an educational platform using microservices architecture, orchestrated in docker containers. It proposes three such microservices build for the EdTech platform namely User Microservice, Course Microservice and Payment Microservice.
