Head injuries

With the exception of pugilism, head injury is not an intended objective in sport. ‘Man is his brain’, so deliberate brain injury cannot reasonably be described as ‘sport’. Head injury in sport is unnecessary. Avoidable head injury is unacceptable. Therefore a primary objective in sport has to be to eliminate or minimize the opportunities for head injury.
