Abstract More recent developments in broadband communications systems have forced the development of circuit components that are more suited and more appropriate for broadband applications. In addition, the development of broadband communication systems has led the way to an increasing demand for use of wideband amplifiers. It should be recognized that distributed amplifiers have been critical building blocks in many such systems because of their performance characteristics, which are clearly wideband .
