Abstract
In this paper, an efficient class of dual to ratio estimators has been developed in double sampling to estimate the population mean of the study variable y. The bias and mean square error (MSE) of the proposed estimator has been obtained. The asymptotically optimum estimator (AOE) in this class has also been obtained along with its bias and MSE. A comparison has been made with the existing similar estimators theoretically and numerically to demonstrate the superiority of the proposed estimator.
