Abstract
An orientating wind-tunnel experiment has been performed in order to become familiar with visualization methods which may be applicable to unsteady low speed vortex flow. As a first step steady vortex flow fields over one delta wing and two double-delta wings were visualized employing a laser-light sheet technique. Total pressure measurements were performed over a double-delta wing. It turned out that the laser-light sheet visualization technique is a relatively fast and reliable method to study the vortex flow field over slender wings, which is expected to work also in unsteady flow.
